Synopsis of Terminator Salvation
Terminator Salvation is a 2009 American science fiction film written by John Brancato and Michael Ferris and directed by McG. It is the fourth film in the Terminator series, and stars Christian Bale as future Resistance leader John Connor and Sam Worthington as cyborg Marcus Wright. The film also introduces a young Kyle Reese from the original 1984 film, played by Anton Yelchin, as well as depicting the origin of the T-800 Model 101 Terminator. Terminator Salvation, set in 2018, focuses on the war between humanity and Skynet - a departure from the previous installments, which were set on the present day and featured time travel.
In 2003, Dr. Kogan Serena (Helena Bonham Carter), Cyberdyne Systems convinces prisoner on death row of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington) to sign over his body for medical research after his execution by lethal injection. A year later, the Skynet system is activated, the man perceived as a threat to their existence, and eliminates most of humanity in the case known as the Day of Reckoning (see Terminator 3: Rise of Machines). In 2018, John Connor (Christian Bale) leads a resistance attack on a base of Skynet. Juan discovers human prisoners and plans to develop a new type of Terminator incorporating living tissue, but is the only apparent survivor of the attack from the base is destroyed in a nuclear explosion. However, Marcus is clear from the remains of the base and proceeds to walk to Los Angeles.
John comes back to Resistance headquarters aboard a nuclear submarine, said Ashdown General (Michael Ironside), the current leader of its discovery. John meets with his official Barnes (common) and his wife Kate (Bryce Dallas Howard) and radio broadcasts sent to members of the Resistance and the surviving civilians around the world.Arriving at the ruins of Los Angeles, Marcus is saved from a Terminator T-600 Kyle Reese (Anton Yelchin) and his silent companion star (Jadagrace Berry). Kyle referred to the events of Marcus' Day of Reckoning and war between humans and machines. Radio audience of John, three leave Los Angeles in search of the Resistance. To survive an attack by the machines, but Kyle, Star, and other human beings are imprisoned, while a pair of resistance-10 are down.
